It's that time of year again.

Every year our school holds elections for the student council. This is a group of 8-10 students from years 7 and 8 that are selected as role models/leaders to represent the students of Auroa school at various events. The job of the student council also helps organize and run activities like Daffodil day to raise money for the Cancer foundation, Dress up days like Wacky hair and Halloween, the second hand 'op' shop and school disco's.  The student council puts the money that is raised into a project that will benefit the students of the school, last year the student councils major project was fundraising for the Outdoor sports board.

This is my second year applying for the council, last year I was lucky enough to be selected as a member. This was a great learning experience for me to discover and develop my leadership and organisation skills, it was also heaps of fun! To be successful in this process we have to submit a CV, fill in a job application form and present a speech to the senior school, as to why we should be elected onto the council. It's almost like applying for a real job!
This year I completed an electronic CV.
speeches are this thursday wish me luck!

I think you need to go back through this post and look at the gaps that have been created because you have changed it. There are some spaces there that I think that you can remove.
