Student Council Results

I can finally breathe!

Firstly I would like to congratulate everyone who was brave enough to put their name forward for the council.  It takes a lot of guts to get up there and share your thoughts and ideas with the students in the senior syndicate. Then there's voting, even if your not a candidate there's still a lot of pressure, who will you vote for? will you pick the right one? You could smell the tension, maybe that was just sweat!  There were over 20 people that applied, that's a massive effort for our school and only 12 of those that applied gained positions.

Congratulations to the students that were voted onto the council, this must be such an honour! Kaiah, Michael, Isabelle, Meg, Lucas, Will, Riley, Alice, Dayna and James, congratulations to you all!  At our school we have a head girl and head boy position also, this year Tom was elected as head boy of our school!  So a big congratulations to him, and guess who head girl was........ (drum roll please) ME!!!!!  I couldn't believe our principal when he told me, I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with an awesome group of people this year!  For those of you that unfortunately missed out like Mr.C says, "never give up"!

Thank you for this fantastic piece of writing about todays events. I have to say I think that you very much deserved the position of Head Girl. While it comes with a huge amount of responsibility I think that it is a great challenge for you. You created an excellent title for your post and it was a great read. Perhaps you could consider carefully defining your paragraphs by double spacing them.

Great blog! Your blog told a wonderful passage about the feelings you feel when you run for student council. In Merton,WI,USA we don't have the role of a head boy or head girl, but I'm sure you deserved it! Your title was very catching and you described everything very very well. Over all, stupendous job Emily!

At our school we have a council I understand you do not have a head girl and head boy position at your school but do you by any chance have a student council? I would be very interested to find out more about your school as America is very far away from New Zealand! Thank you for chacking out my blog, Feel free to keep checking my new posts

Good blog Emily. I really liked how you had a title and then a sub-title. I like how you also made the student council election sound important, because it is. Good job!
